Agaves & Some Relatives
Agaves are any of numerous plants of the genus Agave, native to hot, dry regions of the Americas and having basal rosettes of tough, usually spiny-margined leaves. Often called "Century Plant", a misnomer. After flowering, almost all agaves will die however it doesn't take a century: more commonly 15-30 years or more.
